Concert at Sea sells 30,000 tickets in an hour

The Dutch festival, which takes place on a dam over Lake Grevelingen, sold out of both weekend and day passes for 2017 in an hour

The festival director of Concert at Sea, one of the Netherlands’ largest music festivals, says he’s “stunned” by the speed of ticket sales for the 2017 event.

After selling 30,000 weekend tickets in an hour last week, the festival – which has been held on the Brouwersdam, in Zeeland, since 2006 – on Friday shifted 20,000 day tickets in the same amount of time.
