Live Nation buys SA’s leading promoter, Big Concerts
Live Nation expands into country #38 with the acquisition of Attie van Wyk's Cape Town-based outfit

Live Nation has acquired a controlling interest in South Africa’s largest concert promoter, Big Concerts. Cape Town-based Big Concerts will continue to be led by chairman Attie van Wyk and CEO Justin van Wyk.
The two companies have been working together since mid-2009, when Big Concerts became exclusive promotion partner for all Live Nation tours in South Africa.
