AEG Europe taps into renewable energy to power venues
A 'first-of-its-kind' agreement with Ecotricity will see green energy supplied to AEG's UK venues, including London's The O2

AEG Europe has approved a landmark agreement to power its UK venues, including The O2, with renewable energy.
The “first-of-its-kind” venture will make AEG’s portfolio, which includes the 20,000-capacity arena and 5,300-cap Eventim Apollo, the first in the country to run on the “greenest” energy provisions, per AEG.
In partnership with Ecotricity, the supply deal combines power purchase agreements (PPAs) with a 100% renewable energy supply, verified by hourly guarantees known as REGOs (Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin).
