Over time, conversations about African touring have revolved around artists, promoters and primary infrastructure such as staging, venues, routing, ticketing, security etc. What has rarely been included is tourism policy.
That omission is precisely what the recent Memorandum of Understanding between the African Tourism Board (ATB) and the Africa Live Entertainment Conference (ALEC) sets out to address.
