Japanese conglomerate SBI Holdings says it has entered into negotiations to build a replica of the next-generation venue

A Sphere venue could be coming to Tokyo, after a Japanese conglomerate revealed it has entered negotiations to develop a full-scale immersive arena. SBI Holdings, a national financial company, announced the plans in a press conference this week (31 March).

If finalised, it would be the first Sphere venue in Asia.

In the media briefing, the company pinpointed the area of Odaiba, a high-tech artificial island in Tokyo Bay, as the potential construction site, with the total cost ranging between 350-500…
