US music office association forms to connect local ecosystems

Supported by the Recording Academy, the Association of Music Offices will be a first-of-its-kind national organisation

Several US music offices and organisations have united to form an association aiming to connect and support the country’s local music ecosystems. Announced during the 2026 Music Biz Conference yesterday (12 May), the Association of Music Offices will be a first-of-its-kind national organisation.

It will initially comprise representatives from municipal and state music and entertainment offices, along with cultural affairs departments, nonprofit music organisations, and industry affiliates, like the Recording Academy.
