China looks to open trio of Sphere-like venues

The LED-outfitted domes in Qianjiang, Shanghai, and Guangzhou will be around 20% the size of the landmark Las Vegas space

China is set to gain a trio of small-scale, Sphere-like immersive venues, with plans unfolding in Qianjiang, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

The three LED-outfitted dome spaces, which are all around 20% the size of the 20,000-capacity pioneering space, are positioned to boost cultural initiatives and tourism for the provinces and country.

In the central province of Hubei, Tiangong Nova had its grand opening over the weekend (30 May) in the city of Qianjiang. It is around 80% smaller than the original Sphere.
