International Live Music Conference (ILMC) and IQ have announced their transition to employee ownership, as well as the appointment of new figures to its senior leadership team.

As part of what in the UK is termed an Employee Ownership Trust, the move secures an independent future for the company, with managing director Greg Parmley saying it also “incentivises and aligns the interests of the team in a number of important ways”.

“Independence has always been the defining attribute of our events and publications,” said Greg Parmley. “ILMC has always been an open church for all interests in the global live music business, and IQ has always endeavoured to publish impartially and objectively while being a platform that promotes and champions the business.”
