Australia’s New South Wales (NSW) government has proposed expanding the concert-hosting capabilities of the iconic Sydney Opera House to help boost its position as a touring and cultural destination.
The proposed reforms focus on the use of the famed venue’s various outdoor spaces, with Labour government officials seeking to expand capacity, reduce sound restrictions, and extend operating hours to boost major concerts.
