New York legislators have revived efforts to ban the use of biometric technology in venues, raising uncertainty over many venues and ticketers’ explorations into the technology in the state.
New York State Assembly members Tony Simone and Rachel May have this month led a bid to reignite a bill first put forward in February 2025 in the wake of a media storm around the famous venue, with the bill being referred back to the legislature earlier this month.
