Massive Attack barred from Singapore after onstage display

After breaching national law by displaying a Palestinian flag onstage, English outfit Massive Attack have been banned from returning to and performing in Singapore.

During their show at the 5,000-capacity Star Theater on 29 July, the trip-hop group – composed of Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grant “Daddy G” Marshall – unfurled the flag after hearing “large sections of the auditorium organically” lead ‘Free Palestine’ chants, the group said in a statement following the events.
