Contra Promotion launches gender-marginalised artist program

German promoter Contra has launched a call for applications from early career female and gender-marginalised artists, in an effort to address gender balance across the live sector.

Named ‘Claim Your Stage’, the scheme is searching for artists from FLINTA* communities, a German abbreviation referring to women, as well as lesbian, intersex, non-binary, transgender, and agender individuals. Led by Contra, the scheme is in co-operation with Summer Breeze Festival, Deichbrand, and Rock for People.
