DEAG CEO Detlef Kornett to depart at the end of 2026
Kornett will be replaced as chairman of the company's executive board and CEO by Markus Breitenecker

DEAG CEO Detlef Kornett is to leave his position at the end of the year at the expiry of his contract, bringing to a close his 13-year stint at the company. Markus Breitenecker will join DEAG’s Executive Board on 1 November 2026 and will succeed Kornett as its chairman, while acquiring a shareholding in the company.
DEAG said with the move it is focussing on “further international expansion and strengthening the Group’s market position”.
