Barcelona City Council has launched the first-ever open public bidding process for festival licenses

Several Spanish promoters are competing for a license to hold music events at Barcelona’s most iconic festival site, Parc del Fòrum. For the first time ever, Barcelona City Council has launched an open public bidding process for festival licenses in an effort to democratise the use of the park.

Resident festivals Primavera Sound (4–8 June) and Cruïlla (9–12 July) are exempt from the process until their current contracts expire.
