Helsinki City Festival toasts rapid growth

Having nearly doubled attendance in the first two years of the festival, organisers are bullish about its upward trajectory

Helsinki City Festival organisers have told IQ how the festival has “hit the right spot at the right time” after attendance nearly doubled in the first two years.

Launched by the Finnish independent company Loud’n Live, the two-day event debuted in June 2024 at the Bolt Arena in Töölö, attracting 27,000 people for performances from acts such as Deadmau5, Robin Schulz, Blue, Tinie Tempah and Hurts.
