Sheffield Leadmill set for £2m relaunch as Electric Studios

Details of the UK venue's transformation have been disclosed by operator Electric Group after the conclusion of a lengthy legal battle

Independent UK live music venue company Electric Group has revealed details of its £2 million (€2.3m) transformation of the former Leadmill in Sheffield as Electric Studios. Set for opening in spring 2026, the venue will be able to accommodate 1,050 people for concerts and 1,450 for club events.

Upgrades include a redesigned venue layout with new bars, improved stage sightlines and increased capacity, as well as a new PA system, advanced lighting and production installations, alongside enhanced backstage facilities.
