The UK government is set to announce this week that it is banning the resale of tickets above face value for concerts and other live events in a crackdown on touts.

A long-anticipated consultation was initiated back in January, with the Labour government vowing to “tackle greedy touts and give power back to fans” after prime minister Keir Starmer vowed to introduce new legislation as a pledge in the party’s manifesto.
