Live sector calls on EU to halt unauthorised resale

Agents, promoters, festivals, managers, venues, artists and others are appealing for a Europe-wide approach to tackle ticket abuse

More than 130 live industry representatives have signed an open letter calling on the EU for help stop unauthorised ticket resale.

The letter to Justice Commissioner Michael McGrath asks that the European Union expands the scope of the upcoming Digital Fairness Act (DFA) – which aims to strengthen consumer protection against unfair online practices – to tackle ticket abuse.

Signatories include agents from CAA, WME, UTA, One Fiinix Live, ROAM and X-ray Touring, and promoters such as Doctor Music Concerts (Spain), Gadget Entertainment…
