The UK’s Academy Music Group invests in venue revamps

The UK’s Academy Music Group (AMG) is investing in the longevity of its historic venue portfolio, with O2 Academy Bristol the most recent beneficiary.

An acoustic transformation of the 1,600-capacity theatre space was recently completed, with 80 custom-manufactured panels slotting into the existing structure to balance sound coverage in the venue, which originally opened in 1966. It was bought by AMG in 2001.
