Viagogo CEO claims firm ‘educated’ UK gov’t on price cap legislation

The comments come a week after long-anticipated price cap legislation was delayed to the dismay of UK live industry

Viagogo and StubHub CEO Eric Baker has claimed his companies played a role in “educating” the UK government on the drawbacks of potential secondary ticket price cap legislation, only a week after the long-anticipated law was delayed by the government.

Speaking at a JP Morgan Chase ‘fireside chat’ this week, Baker claimed that in the wake of the government’s November 2025 announcement that secondary ticket price cap legislation was one the way, his companies warned ministers about the ‘complexities’…
