Live music recognition tech forcing ‘fundamental shift’ for PROs

Performing rights organisations (PROs) are facing a “fundamental shift” in how they collect set list information, allowed by strides made in live music recognition software in the last eighteen months.

This is according to audio technology company Audoo, on the heels of announcing a partnership with the UK’s Music Venue Trust (MVT) this week, with CEO Ryan Edwards telling IQ that recent strides in privacy capabilities could herald a sea change in how rights organisation collect set list information.
