LIVE Music Toronto launches to support citywide sector

Toronto’s live sector is gaining a new collaborative initiative known as LIVE Music Toronto, which will see the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) and MusicOntario combine their efforts to support independent live organisations.

The new scheme will see the two organisations serve Toronto’s independent and grassroots venues, festivals, promoters, and presenters across the for-profit and non-profit sectors, the organisations said, adding it would aim to “provide a collective voice on local policy, resources, and the long-term sustainability” of the…
