BookMyShow: Emerging touring models making India an ‘anchor market’

Recent Indian tours by international acts will have a “ripple effect” through the country’s touring market, BookMyShow CEO Ashish Hemrajani has said, while noting the country is rapidly developing a profitable model of three-to-five city routes.

“India is becoming an anchor market, not just a one stop,” the CEO said on a recent appearance on the Bob Lefsetz podcast, adding that the country now has “at least five markets where you can do a tour”.
