Even with 41 years of history, Brazil’s famed Rock in Rio is still marking festival firsts, with this year’s edition welcoming its first K-pop and electronic headliners in addition to a stacked pop and rock pool of talent.
More than 700,000 people descended on Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Park – reimagined as the Cidade do Rock (City of Rock) – across two weekends, 4-7 & 11-13 September, to see headliners that included Stray Kids, Calvin Harris, Foo Fighters, Maroon…
