Two Australian psytrance festivals under the Frequency brand have removed Israeli DJs from their lineups, and now face uncertainty around venues, as organisers claim the decisions come as a result of threats of violence from boycott campaigners.
The 5,000-cap Frequency Forest camping festival, set to take place at New South Wales’ Maitland Showground, is now undergoing a safety and threat assessment to determine “the best way forward”, event bosses said, after the five DJs were removed from its lineup. Frequency…
