LN partner Spark to lend name to Vector Arena

The newly Live Nation-run indoor arena in Auckland will become the Spark Arena next spring

The 12,000-capacity Vector Arena, Auckland’s largest indoor live entertainment and sports venue, will likely be rebranded early next year as telecommunications company Spark New Zealand takes over the brand, technology partner and naming-rights contracts.

The New Zealand Herald reports that the Live Nation-operated arena will be known as the Spark Arena from April 2017.

The arena’s previous branding partnership, a 10-year agreement with energy company Vector, ends on 19 April this year.
