‘Political activism is very welcome at Roskilde’

Roskilde CEO Signe Lopdrup says politically-charged performances are “very welcome” at the event as she breaks down another sellout year, which included the hottest day in the Danish festival’s history.

The independent 130,000-capacity institution hosted artists such as Charli XCX, Olivia Rodrigo, Stormzy, Nine Inch Nails, Tyla, Africa Express, Doechii, Deftones, Jamie xx, FKA Twigs, Lola Young and Fontaines D.C. for its 53rd edition, held between 27 June and 4 July.
