Burning Man attendee ‘electrocuted’ amid severe weather

The US countercultural gathering has been hampered by heavy rain and 50-mph winds that have caused injuries and damage to infrastructure

A Burning Man attendee is reportedly being treated in hospital following an apparent electrocution on site at the US event. The man was airlifted to a trauma centre from the Nevada Desert site on the night of Tuesday 26 August, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

News of the incident broke after heavy rain soaked the site, also known as Black Rock City, for several hours on the same day.
