Lawsuit seeks to halt concerts at Giza Pyramids

The complaint claims that large-scale music events produce "high-frequency vibrations capable of destabilising the ancient stone structures"

The Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights (ECESR) is taking legal action seeking the suspension of large-scale concerts at Giza Pyramids.

A lawsuit, before the administrative court by the non-governmental legal institution on behalf of Egyptologist and archaeology professor Dr Monica Hanna, tour guide and independent researcher Sally Salah El-Din, and cassation lawyer Malek Adly, calls for the authorities to address “unauthorised activities and events” taking place within the protected site.
