Eurovision Song Contest organisers launch Asian iteration

Ahead of the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, organisers have announced the competition series will be exported to Asia this year.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and rights holder Voxovation, along with S20 Productions and regional broadcasters, will produce the Eurovision Song Contest Asia, with the Grand Final set for Bangkok’s 4,320-seat IdeaLive on 14 November.

Alongside host country Thailand, South Korea, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Bhutan, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, and Vietnam have signed up, with more expected…
