Live Nation and OVG Madrid arena gets green light

A new 20,000-cap arena will be built alongside sports and educational facilities to bolster Madrid's live offering

Live Nation and Oak View Group (OVG) have confirmed the approval of plans for the development of Madrid’s former Aquatic Centre into a new multipurpose arena in the vicinity of the 70,000-cap Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium.

 

The plans were first put forward in January 2025 between the two companies and football club Atlético Madrid, owners of the nearby stadium. 

At that time, Live Nation, OVG, and Atlético Madrid submitted a proposal to Madrid City Council under their joint venture…
