Live Nation settles deceptive ticketing claims in DC for $9.9m

The entertainment giant will pay to resolve an investigation by the capital's Attorney General, separate from the antitrust suit

Live Nation has agreed to pay $9.9 million (€8.42m) to settle an investigation from the District of Columbia (D.C.) over misleading ticket pricing practices through its subsidiary, Ticketmaster.

It will conclude a decade-long investigation by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), which alleged that the entertainment giant misled prices, charged deceptive fees, and used illegal pressure tactics in ticket sales in violation of the District’s Consumer Protection Procedures Act.
