Toronto’s Rogers Stadium generates $500m in first year

The seasonal venue welcomed around 700,000 fans for shows from the likes of Stray Kids, Blackpink, Coldplay, and Oasis in its inaugural year

Toronto’s seasonal Rogers Stadium generated over $500 million (€427.5m) in economic activity in its first season, according to a new report from Live Nation Canada.

The 50,000-capacity temporary stadium, located on the former Downsview Airport Lands, is the biggest purpose-built concert venue in the country and one of the biggest in the world.

In its first year, the venue welcomed around 700,000 fans across 14 concerts from Stray Kids, Blackpink, Coldplay, Oasis, System of a Down & Deftones, and Hozier.
