Growth of Latvia’s Summer Sound outpacing limited local infrastructure
As camping drops off, organiser Uldis Pabērzis says finding accommodation in the coastal city of Liepāja is its primary limiting factor

Despite Latvia’s Summer Sound seeing continued year-on-year growth, helping fuel the rise of new events, limited local infrastructure is thwarting the major Baltic festival’s further expansion, organiser Uldis Pabērzis tells IQ.
The two-day event returned to its beachfront home in Liepāja, on the western coast of the Baltic Sea, from 31 July-1 August this year, bringing a diverse mix of 60 acts like Alan Walker and Hardwell and regional stars Ansis, Singapūras Satīns, and Tautumeitas.
