Hong Kong’s latest live music hotspot launches

The grand opening ceremony of Live Nation's new mid-size venue Tides took place today with a showcase of local talent

Live Nation has held the grand opening ceremony for Hong Kong’s first purpose-built, mid-sized music venue. Tides, which is located on The Whampoa’s ship-shaped complex in Kowloon, officially launched today (14 October) with a local talent showcase featuring The Hertz, Beanies, Novel Fergus and Le Shing.

Designed in-house by Live Nation, the 1,500-cap plug-and-play venue has been designed to serve as “a purpose-built platform catering to the needs of the next wave of emerging stars”.
