Standon Calling ends as company goes into liquidation

After two cancelled editions and failure to secure additional investment, the long-running UK festival has closed down

Standon Calling has come to an end after the company behind the UK festival announced it had gone into liquidation. Founded in 2006 by Alex Trenchard, the Hertfordshire-based event has hosted artists such as Florence + The Machine, Charli XCX, Primal Scream and Bastille.

The most recent edition of the multi-day festival took place in 2023, with the 2024 and 2025 instalments cancelled due to a “very challenging climate”.
