The fallout from Australia’s Byron Bay Bluesfest’s sudden cancellation has continued, with artists and ticket buyers caught in the crossfire. The 2026 edition, due to take place from 2-5 April, was due to be led by Split Enz, Parkway Drive, Sublime, and Earth, Wind & Fire.

The 2026 edition, due to take place from 2-5 April, was due to be led by Split Enz, Parkway Drive, Sublime, and Earth, Wind & Fire. Organisers cancelled the leading festival last week due to a “perfect storm of rising production, logistics, insurance and touring costs” after 36 years as one of Australia’s leading events.
