K-pop’s ‘Big Four’ unite for global music festival joint venture

South Korea’s four major entertainment companies – HYBE, JYP Entertainment, SM Entertainment, and YG Entertainment – are preparing to establish a joint venture to launch a global touring music festival.

Business Post reports that K-pop’s ‘Big Four’ recently submitted a notification to the Fair Trade Commission (FTC) to establish a joint venture related to live music planning. While all companies involved in the JV are expected to have equal equity stakes, the governance structure has not yet been established.
