Dutch industry bodies have called on the national government to issue standardised frameworks for live event organisers, after the license for a 20,000-capacity dance festival in Amsterdam was pulled at the last minute.
The eleventh-hour incident has raised alarm bells within the Dutch live sector, with the event’s organisers and trade associations issuing concern over the market’s regulatory frameworks and the financial risk of putting on large-scale events.
