More than half of Dutch pop music venues operated at a loss in 2025, as rising operating costs outpaced revenue growth, according to new figures from the Association of Dutch Pop Venues and Festivals (VNPF).
The trade body’s Pop Venues and Festivals in Figures report found that half of its 55 affiliated music venues recorded a negative financial result last year, highlighting the mounting pressure on the European country’s live music network.
