Ghana Party in the Park shut down after crowd surge injures 23

The long-running London diaspora event thanked emergency services and apologised to fans injured in "one of the most difficult days" in its history

London-based diaspora festival Ghana Party in the Park was forced to shut down part way through its event this past weekend (1 August) after “surging crowds” caused injuries to 23 fans.

Authorities confirmed 23 fans were given medical care, including some needing CPR, while three fans were hospitalised, after what appears in footage shared online appeared to be a crowd crush by the exit of the outdoor venue.
