Kennedy Center votes for closure after latest block on Trump renaming plan

The venue's board has again said the Center will close, as Trump says renovations will not happen unless name change plans are adopted

US President Donald Trump has again said Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center will close, after a US judge blocked the latest attempt to add his name to venue.

In a series of social media posts following the ruling yesterday (15th September), Trump appeared to threaten to withhold long-planned renovations to the venue unless his plans to add his name to the building are adopted.
