Shakira kicked off her 12-night residency at a bespoke Madrid stadium over the weekend, adding a new cultural dimension by integrating Latin programming alongside headlining performances.
The Colombian megastar played to more than 50,000 people on Friday (18 September), her first Spanish show in eight years, and is expected to play to around 600,000 fans until 11 October in a purpose-built venue integrated within the Iberdrola Music site in the southern part of the Spanish capital.
