Two of the biggest rock bands on the planet are heading back out on the road.
Metallica are extending their M72 World Tour into a fourth year with the announcement of 16 shows in Europe from May-July 2026, while Foo Fighters – who announced last week they will be performing at the 2025 Singapore F1 Grand Prix in October – have revealed three additional tour stops in Asia.
The M72 run has seen K2 Agency-repped Metallica play to around four million fans since opening in Amsterdam in April 2023. Their 2026 slate will continue the No Repeat Weekend tradition, with each night of the two-show stands featuring entirely different setlists and support lineups.
It will include the band’s first shows in Frankfurt, Germany (22 & 24 May) and Dublin, Ireland (19 & 21 June) since 2009, plus stops in Budapest, Hungary (11 & 13 June) and London, England (3 & 5 July). It will also feature several single shows bringing the tour’s full production to cities including Athens, Bucharest, Chorzów, Zurich, Berlin, Bologna, Glasgow and Cardiff.

“They’ve asked for the freedom to curse on stage, as well as permission to smoke and drink during the show”
WME clients Foo Fighters, meanwhile, will play Carnaval Ancol in Jakarta, Indonesia (2 October 2025), Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan (7 October) and Glion Arena Kobe, Osaka, also in Japan, on 10 October, along with their previously announced Singapore show on 4 October.
The Jakarta stop will mark the Foos’ first gig in Indonesia since 1996, and Ravel Junardy, CEO of local promoter Ravel Entertainment, says the band made some unusual rider requests for the concert.
“They’ve asked for the freedom to curse on stage, as well as permission to smoke and drink during the show,” Junardy tells the Jakarta Globe. “As long as it doesn’t touch on sensitive topics like race, religion, or Indonesian cultural values, we’ll allow it.”
