Lucca Summer Festival claims €44 million economic impact

A study by the University of Pisa and Italian trade body Assoconcerti assessed the wider benefits of the Tuscany concert series

Italy’s Lucca Summer Festival (LSF) generated €44 million in revenue for the city and province from its 2025 season, a new study has revealed.

Carried out by the University of Pisa in collaboration with trade body Assoconcerti, the report assessed the economic and social impact of the 19-concert series in Tuscany, which was first held in 1998 and is organised by D’Alessandro e Galli (Di & Gi).

Staged in the Mura Storiche area, next to the Lucca City Walls, the 40,000-cap event also utilises a second, 8,000-cap venue. This year’s lineup included Bryan Adams, Nick Cave, Pet Shop Boys, Jennifer Lopez, Alanis Morissette, Nile Rodgers & Chic and Simple Minds.
