Eventbrite to be acquired in $500m deal

Eventbrite is set to be acquired by software conglomerate Bending Spoons in a deal valued at around US$500 million (€428m). Founded in 2006, the global events marketplace has scaled to nearly 180 countries.

Last year, the experience-centred platform distributed over 83m paid tickets to 4.7m events.
