Awakenings Festival knocks back local residents’ challenges

The two-day techno festival Awakenings in the Netherlands has been given the green light to go ahead this year after it overcame objections from local residents that could have led to a cancellation of the event.

Yesterday (21 January), the Council of State ruled in favour of the festival, greenlighting the event’s return despite objections from local residents.
