Italy approves ‘historic’ fund for country’s music industry
The €1.5 million annual fund, welcomed by national trade bodies, aims to support the development and competitiveness of the live music scene

Italy has confirmed a €1.5 million annual fund to bolster its national live music industry. The 2026 Budget Law, approved late last year, includes a measure to finance the development and competitiveness of the Italian music system, including the production and organisation of contemporary music performances.
The Ministry of Culture fund allocated an endowment of €1.5m annually, earmarked for companies in operation for at least a year to access the grant.
