Finnish live industry warns of ‘challenging’ conditions

A new report from Music Finland finds that live music growth in the Nordic country has slowed down, dipping nearly 4% from 2024's peak

The Finnish live music industry’s growth looks to be tapering off, with a new study from Music Finland valuing the live sector at €630 million in 2025, a 3.8% dip from the peak year in 2024, due to ‘challenging’ conditions for the Nordic market.

The trade body’s recent Music Economy in Finland report found that live music continues to be the leading sector of the Finnish music industry, which was valued at roughly €1.4 billion in 2025, a 1.6% drop from the previous year.
