‘DC has raised the bar for ticketing reform nationwide’

The US's District of Columbia council voted unanimously to pass The Resale Act, a move welcomed by local and national organisations

Councilmembers in the US’s District of Columbia (D.C.) voted unanimously to pass The Resale Act yesterday (14 July), greenlighting landmark legislation that could transform resale in the country’s capital district.

If signed off by Mayor Muriel Bowser, The Resale Act will strengthen consumer protections for those in the federal district by establishing a 10% price cap on resale tickets, banning speculative ticket sales, and requiring mass resellers to register for a license.
